Get right back in the swing of things after Thanksgiving with some brews from Japan!
This coming Monday night, November 26 at 6pm, see a showcase of eight different kegs from one of Japan's most talked-about brewers, Baird Brewing Company. This brewhouse's formula is simple: Balance + Complexity=Character.
For the big event, ChurchKey has compiled a list that represents the mainstays--the modern takes on classic styles--from the Baird portfolio, like Rising Sun Pale Ale, Angry Boy Brown Ale, Kurofone Porter and rarely (if ever) seen hoppy treats Teikoko IPA and Suruga Bay Imperial IPA. You'll also get to enjoy the seasonally-produced Dark Sky Imperial Stout, as well as two beers coming to DC for the very first time: Belgian Strong Pale Ale (dry-hopped w/ 6 varieties of hop) and Yabai-Yabai Strong Scotch Ale, an "opulent and rather chewy malt-driven strong ale crafted to to take the sting out of this late autumn chill," according to beer director Greg Engert.
There is no admission fee for this event and all Baird drafts will be poured in full glasses and in 4 oz. taster pours.
