Welcome to DCBeer's coverage of the Brewers Association's Craft Brewers Conference 2013. This is a week filled with events officially connected to CBC and events put on by breweries, local and otherwise, in craft beer venues around the area. Below, find links to the pages for every day of this week. This is Friday's page. Every day we'll post the official CBC schedule as well as any events going on elsewhere in the #DCBrews world. Beer Advocate and Meridian Pint bring you a post-Craft Brewers Conference party to remember. 20 local breweries will take over the Pint's tap towers and also provide 20 casks that will be spread out on two levels and the patio. All casks and drafts will be $5 all day and night! In preparation for CBC and Drink Local, the Pint brewed a number of collaborative beers. Breweries listed below with an asterisk will be pouring at least one Meridian Pint collaboration. For the full and extensive beer list, click here.
 
Avery Brewing Company Tap Takeover - ChurchKey - 4pm
ChurchKey has been plotting with their buddies from Avery Brewing Company to do a big event for some time. To that end, CK will be pouring 22 drafts from their illustrious portfolio and vault.

Breckenridge Beer and Stranahan's Whiskey - Smoke and Barrel - 5pm
While this week is all about the beer, we are using this event to give our good friend whiskey some love as well. Breckenridge is currently the only brewery in the country authorized to use Stranahan's Whiskey for barrel aging. We are showcasing two beers aged in these barrels that are rarely seen outside of Colorado: Barrel-Aged Vanilla Porter, and Barrel-Aged Pandora’s Bock. In addition, we will be receiving four bottles of this delicious out-of-market whiskey to pour next to the barrel-aged beers.

Oskar Blues Presents "Dale's Dirty Dozen" - Scion - 5pm
Scion is hosting Oskar Blues Brewery founder Dale Katechis (of the eponymous pale ale), who's bringing a slew of OB beers with him - not only are there 11 drafts, but a special cask of oSKAr the G'Rauch, a smoked IPA brewed in collaboration with Ska Brewing Company.  Many of these beers are limited one-offs that rarely make it out of Colorado.  Scion will also feature the brandy new 19.2 oz 'stovepipe cans' of Dale's Pale and Mama's Little Yella Pils.  No tickets or reservation required.  All beers tapped at 5pm.  Featured beers are specially priced for the event.

As the Craft Brewer’s Conference comes to a close and to celebrate 20 years of Harpoon’s amazing brewing legacy, seven of Harpoon’s amazing IPA’s will be available for $4.20 for full pints.  Some light fare will be provided.

Mother Earth Brewing Beers & Pairings - Boundary Road - 5:30pm
Boundary Road matches beers from the acclaimed NC brewery with companionable dishes.

The Goose Island Rare & Obscure Extravaganza - Rustico Ballston - 6pm
Rustico Ballston has been stockpiling some outrageously rare brews from Goose Island. They'll unleash them upon Arlington during the 2013 Craft Brewers Conference.As a sort of sendoff to the CBC, and to celebrate Goose Island, Rustico will be tapping no fewer than 12 different Goose Island brews. Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout will be on DRAFT (this has not even been on draft in DC yet!)...and BCBCS is even cooler when tasted next to the original Bourbon County Brand Stout (BCBS)...so that is flowing as well. Rounding out the rarities are kegs of Naughty Goose, Big John and Night Stalker! Don't forget about the brews from the Vintage series, as they will all be tapped.

Florida Brews - The Black Squirrel - 7:30pm
This is a rare opportunity to enjoy suds from Cigar City, Swamp Head, Tequesta, and St. Somewhere, four breweries not yet available in the D.C. market, on March 29, a Friday, starting at 5 p.m. As part of the festivities, beer lovers will be able to hob-knob with the brewers in the Tap Room, starting at 7:30 pm.  It all comes out to 25 tap lines of rare Florida beer spread over two floors, including The Humidor Series Cedar-Aged Jai Alai IPA from Cigar City, Swamp Head’s Big Nose IPA, Tequesta’s Gnarley Barley APA, and Saison Athene from Saint Somewhere.  A complete draft list will be release shortly. Plus, Chef Gene Sohn will prepare homemade alligator hot dogs for the adventurous foodie. Que Vola!
