DCBrau Does History, Hops, Heurich

On Thursday, February 21, 2013, the Heurich House Museum and DCBrau’s @braujeff and @AleGrrl invite you to tour the brewmaster’s castle off Dupont Circle.

Tickets can be purchased here and are sure to sell out soon.

From the event page:

History & Hops is a new monthly series at the Heurich House Museum, the former home of DC's most successful brewer also known as the Brewmaster's Castle.

Each third Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30, the museum will partner with a local craft brewery to provide a limited number of guests with a tasting and a tour.

February's event features DC Brau.  The Christian Heurich Brewing Company was the last DC brewery when it closed in 1956, and no others existed until DC Brau opened its doors in April 2011.  Co-owner and Brewmaster Jeff Hancock will serve two of his popular beers in the Conservatory, and beer-themed tours will leave every hour to bring guests throughout the historically intact Victorian mansion.

Tour-goers will get to taste a brew made exclusively for this event.

No word yet on what the popular beers will be but you’ll be hard-pressed to find a beer in Brau’s portfolio that isn’t a crowd pleaser.
