"It's a Brewery" featuring Shmaltz Brewing Company at Jack Rose

Long an advocate of contract brewing, Shmaltz Brewing Company, makers of Coney Island Craft Lagers and He'Brew Ales is bucking its own advocacy and opening a production facility in upstate New York. They're celebrating this rebirth with "It's a Brewery!" at Jack Rose Dining Saloon this Saturday, July 20 starting at 2pm.

Owner Jeremy Cowan will be on-hand to oversee baby botte bowling, beer bingo, and ducks in a pond games, cigar smoking, reuben and brisket eating, and of course, beer drinking. They'll also be conducting something that beer director Nahem Simon refers to as a "beer bris," which makes me personally nervous, but that's not important.

A bunch of Shmaltz beers will be on draft, 18 in all, and there will also be some vintage bottles.
