The Brewers Association of Maryland (BAM) announced the 2014 Maryland Craft Beer Festival held in Historic Downtown Frederick at Carroll Creek Park on May 31, 2014 from 1pm-6pm (VIP hour from 12p-1p is sold out) will break the record for most Maryland Beer ever made available. Over 25 Maryland brewing companies will be on-hand sampling over 150 unique, local beers.
The Maryland Craft Beer Festival, presented by the Brewers Association of Maryland brings together craft beer from across the state in a celebration of the Maryland beer community. As a special offering to fans of Maryland Beer, brewing companies across the state will be offering round-trip transportation via motor-coach. See the official website for more details on transportation.
Admission: General Admission: $25 in Advance/$35 day-of (if available); VIP: SOLD OUT; Designated Drivers/Underage: $5; Kids under 12: FREE.
Regular adult admission includes six tasting tokens, commemorative glass, and entrance at 1pm. Additional tokens will be available for purchase at the festival. Advance ticket sales, if still available, end May 30th at 8:00pm.
Beers are set to range from very accessible taste profiles, to a wide variety of interpretations including never-before-available beer, barrel-aged beer, sour beers, beers with unique ingredients like jalapeno, ginger, and even local oysters, numerous award-winning beer, and beer that will never be available again! From the casual beer drinker to the most-seasoned enthusiast, this festival will offer a truly unique experience as the brewers themselves will be on-hand to pour, sample, and discuss their craft.
BAM is the not-for-profit trade association of Maryland brewing companies with 100% of the Maryland Craft Beer Festival proceeds going directly to support the association’s mission; to promote and protect Maryland Craft Beer.
In addition to the best collection of local craft beer available, the festival highlights include exclusive access to small-batch beers, one-of-a-kind casks; all in a family-friendly environment with live music featuring local bluegrass/Americana/folk music. Goods from artisan vendors, as well as fresh, local foods will be available for purchase.
