Meet Sam Calagione & Try the Bluejacket/DFH Collab at ChurchKey

After your "work lunch", stick around (or wake up from your nap and head back to) ChurchKey for a chance to taste the brandy new Bluejacket/Dogfish Head collaboration L'Interimaire - so named for the intermediate phase of Bluejacket's development (a sort of wandering brewery soon to have its very own brewhouse) as well as a nod to the French speaking origins of the beer style (Walloon Saison), hops (the French varietal Aramis), and verjus rouge (the juice of unripened wine grapes), which lends the lifting acidity and bright purplish hue to the brew.

Bluejacket Beer Director Greg Engert and Bluejacket Brewmaster Megan Parisi will be on hand for the event, as will the man behind Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, Sam Calagione! To welcome Sam to ChurchKey, they'll be tapping a bunch of outstanding Dogfish Head brews.  Perhaps most noteworthy is the newest Analog Experimental Ale for DFH: a roasty dry stout brewed with popped Buckwheat from Anson Mills and Apple Ash.  Also be sure to check out the brand new Ancient Ale, Birra Etrusca, and two standouts from their Music & Beer series, Positive Contact and Hellhound on my Ale.
CK will also pour some Bluejacket collaborations that have been set aside for a special occasion: Washington, OC (w/ the Bruery) and Mad Jacket (w/ Mad Fox).
All beers will start pouring at 6 pm. There is no admission charge for the event, and all brews will be priced individually by the glass and in 4 oz. tasters.
