The Blog Crawl - November 24

Well, well, well, it's time for another installment of the Blog Crawl! Sorry it's been so long since the last one, but we'll be sure to give you plenty of good content here in this one. As always, be sure to leave us articles you've enjoyed in the comments! Away we go!

BeerNews.org gives us this bit of local news regarding Rockville's Baying Hound Aleworks on their distribution deal. Seems like they're quickly getting their ducks in a row and are moving to produce and get their product out to a wider audience. This is a big endeavor for a nanobrewery, so we'll keep an eye on how it plays out.

Steph Weber of brew.cook.pair.joy wrote this two part piece for the Hop Press called Homebrewing for n00bs. Steph knows a ton about homebrewing, and these are great pieces for the novice (or n00b, as it were). Check out part 1, Getting Started, and part 2, Ingredients.

The Washington Post's Greg Kitsock offers up this great profile of Stillwater Artisanal Ales' brewer Brian Strumke. Stillwater has made some tremendous beers, including recently Love & Regret. Check out the highly interesting profile!

Via THE MAN Charlie Papazian himself comes this interesting article about the environmental prospects of brewing with cheatgrass. Will it take over barley? Seems unlikely, but Papazian makes a case for its abundance and potential.

Lastly, but not leastly, check out J Street Beer's review of the Founders Rare Beer Tasting at the Big Hunt. Almost as good as not being there to drink the tasties yourself!

That's it for this edition folks, but we'll see you soon with a new slough of interesting craft beer related articles! Until then, keep sending your interesting articles our way!
