Located in the historic building that housed Engine Comany No. 6, Sixth Engine is a two-story bar and restaurant. The restaurant offers up modern American bistro-style fare that complements the varied beer menu. Eight drafts and a solid selection of cans and bottles (including big bottle formats) make up the beer menu. The focus is on American craft beer, and you'll find beers from all across the country from Stone to Allagash. Be sure to check out the appetizers like crispy pork belly and hush puppies. Sixth Engine is a nice restaurant option in the Mount Vernon Triangle neighborhood, and it is cultivating a good population of regulars from the nearby apartment buildings. A fine place to sit and grab a beer and a burger.
DC Beer: @eatyourpizza for the record, no one drinks IPAs anymore so I expect you're going to be losing a lot of money. This "IPA made me sad." 1 hour ago
