Sixpoint Virginia Launch: Old Town Alexandria Pub Crawl on Tuesday

Tomorrow, Sixpoint Brewing (Brooklyn, NY) is making their Virginia debut with a pub crawl through Old Town featuring six of Alexandria’s top craft beer bars.

Mad Scientist 6 (wet hopped strong ale)
Spice of Life (Single Hop IPA- Cascade)– This release is  from a year-round effort aimed at educating hoppy beer fans on the qualities of specific hops. Each month, Sixpoint releases a single-hopped IPA paying tribute to a specific variety. Full Release Schedule Here

Chadwicks – 203 The Strand – Alexandria, VA 22314

Autumnation – Brewed with pumpkin, ginger and white pepper, and wet-hopped with just-harvested Citra hops from the oldest continually farmed hop farm in the country, it’s a burst of fresh, seasonal spice.

Pizzeria Paradiso – 124 King Street- Alexandria, VA 22162

Gemini (Double IPA) – A beast of a beer coming in at 95ish IBU and 10.8% ABV. This citrus forward IPA is smooth and goes down way to well for being so big.

Oyster Stout (American Stout) – This is a collaboration of sorts with the John Dory Oyster Bar in NYC. Oyster shells are sent straight from the restaurant to Sixpoint to a create a big, bold, mineral-laced stout.

Sweet Action (Cream Ale) – #1 cream ale in the world per Beer Advocate and obviously a great representation of a fairly obscure style.

Bengali Tiger (IPA) – Sixpoint’s flagship IPA loaded with hops and sweet malts.

Columbia Firehouse – 109 South Saint Asaph Street, Alexandria, VA 22314

Righteous (Rye Ale) – Amber, almost brown, rye ale. Rye creates a big body with a bit of spice and a clean finish.

Otis (Oatmeal Stout) – Brewed with a significant amount of oats creating a super smooth stout.
