Meridian Pint and DC Brau Launch Ground Wolf Session IPA Tonight

The folks from Meridian Pint and DC Brau are teaming up again, but this time not for an event, but instead a collaboration beer.

Stop by the Pint tonight as Ground Wolf Session IPA is unveiled. This beer is 4.5%, bittered with Columbus hops, and includes all Centennial hops for flavor and aroma. The beer is also completely naturally carbonated.

Not only will the beer be on tap, but the Pint will also have the following Ground Wolf casks available tonight:

#1: Fresh Ginger & Wasabi
#2: Pineapple, Jalapeno Peppers & Serrano Peppers
#3: Dry-Hopped Nelson Sauvin

The beer has already debuted in the DC Brau tap room, here’s what local (and quite experienced/accomplished) reviewer/beer ticker/aficionado Drabmuh had to say about the beer:

Beer is yellowish with a haze. Soft white head low retention, some lacing, nice moderate carbonation. Looks good. Aroma is all hops. You can smell how bitter this is going to be. There is a lot of variability in the IPA world these days. There are a lot of popular IPAs out there that avoid hop bitterness. All late addition hops. This beer is not one of those. I don’t want to guess the IBUs on this beer but I would wager it would top 100-110. At times noticing against the limits of taste. Sooo bitter. Light in malt though. The hop bitterness is like a shadow that starts at the back of my palate creeping forward until the entire sense of taste is gone. Would I have it again? Yes but I like my meat spicy.”

Sounds good to us; we like our meat spicy, too. Get on over and have a Ground Wolf!
